SARO Agro Industrial Ltd proudly participated in the 2025 Agritech Expo Zambia, held from 10th to 12th April at the GART Research Centre in Chisamba. The event, themed “Where Agriculture Meets Innovation,” brought together key stakeholders in the agricultural sector, including farmers, agribusinesses, financial institutions, and government representatives. SARO’s presence at this year’s expo strongly aligned with the theme, as we showcased a broad range of innovative, climate-smart solutions tailored to support Zambia’s agricultural growth.

SARO’s exhibition stand attracted a high number of visitors, keen to explore machinery and systems that increase efficiency, reduce operating costs, and improve yields. Among the innovations on display were:
- Mini Maize Sheller (Engine-Driven): Designed for smallholder and medium-scale farmers, this sheller significantly reduces post-harvest losses while enhancing speed and productivity.
- Solar Hammer Mill: Offering a sustainable alternative to conventional diesel mills, this machine helps communities process maize without relying on costly or unavailable fuel.
- Solar Center Pivot Irrigation System: A highlight of SARO’s irrigation solutions, this system enables efficient water usage through renewable energy, ideal for climate-resilient agriculture.
- Farm Mechanization Equipment: Including tractors, planters, harrows, ploughs, and trailers, SARO’s mechanization range supports land preparation and crop production for farms of all sizes.
- Crop and Food Processing Equipment: SARO displayed processing units that empower farmers to add value to their produce, fostering agri-business development.
- Energy and Backup Solutions: Our full range of solar systems, hybrid inverters, tubular batteries, and standby generators ensure continuity in farming and agro-processing even during power outages.
Ministerial Recognition and Support
SARO was honored to receive a visit from the Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Reuben Mtolo, who expressed great interest in our diverse product offerings. He emphasized the role of events like Agritech in promoting interaction between farmers and industry players and commended SARO for contributing to the country’s innovation agenda.
The Minister highlighted the urgent need for:

- Adoption of climate-resilient technologies
- Diversification of energy sources in farming
